Herro world! It’s the first post of the blog!
Here is an aerial shot of Kyoto city.
I ended up choosing the WordPress Oxygen Theme for this blog. My other choices included:
As you can see if you check any of these out, I usually prefer a very minimal design for websites with a lot of white space. The other great way to design sites is with all-out photos. If I were a photographer, I would have chosen the Full Frame theme, which is really well done, I think. But I’m not a photographer…
Anyhow, it seems a little lame to me that I chose the same theme as the Mugenjuku Kenshusei blog. I didn’t do this on purpose, but when you look closely at all the themes, Oxygen really offers a lot. You can pare it down so it is very minimal, but you can also expand to include a lot of photos. It can be a black-and-white site that looks like a newspaper, or it can be a full-color site that looks like a photo magazine. It is very versatile. And it is free! It’s hard not to choose it.
Anyhow, I hope you find it easy to read.
